
Transaction ek database management system (DBMS) mein ek mahatvapurn concept hai jo data integrity, consistency, aur reliability ka dhyaan rakhta hai. - Consistency: Ek transaction database ko ek valid state se doosri valid state tak le jaata hai. Isse dhyaan rakha jaata hai ki database ke data pehle se define ki gayi rules aur constraints ke anuroop ho, jisse data integrity bani rahe.
- Isolation: Har transaction doosre transactions se isolated hota hai, yani ki ek transaction ke operations doosre transactions se visible nahi hote hain jab tak ki woh commit nahi hota. Isse concurrency control hota hai, jisse data consistency maintain hoti hai.
- Durability: Jab ek transaction commit ho jaata hai, tab uske kiye gaye changes database mein permanent ho jaate hain aur kisi bhi future failure (jaise ki system crash ya power failure) ke baad bhi changes survive karte hain. Yeh changes durable aur persistent hote hain.
- Transaction States:
Ek transaction apne lifecycle ke dauraan alag-alag states se guzarta hai:
- Active: Yeh transaction ka pehla state hota hai, jahan transaction start hota hai aur uske operations execute hote hain.
- Partially Committed: Transaction ne apne saare operations complete kar liye hote hain, lekin changes abhi tak database mein permanent nahi hue hote hain.
- Committed: Transaction safaltapoorvak complete ho gaya hota hai aur saare changes database mein permanent ho jaate hain.
- Aborted: Transaction ko kisi error ka saamna karna padta hai ya phir usko explicitly rollback kiya jata hai, aur saare changes undo ho jaate hain.
- Transaction Management:
DBMS transactions ko effective tarike se manage aur control karne ke liye mechanisms pradaan karta hai, jinmein shaamil hote hain:
- Begin Transaction: Yeh ek naye transaction ka shuruwaat ka sanket karta hai aur transaction ko active state mein set karta hai.
- Commit: Yeh transaction ki safaltapoorvak poorti ko darshaata hai aur transaction ke saare changes database mein permanent save ho jaate hain.
- Rollback: Yeh transaction ke dvaara kiye gaye changes ko undo kar deta hai, agar kisi error ka saamna hota hai ya phir transaction ko explicitly rollback kiya jaata hai. Database ko transaction shuru hone se pehle ke state tak restore kar diya jaata hai.
- Transactions ke Use Cases:
Transactions ka upayog alag-alag scenarios mein kiya jaata hai, jaise ki:
- Banking aur Finance: Funds transfer, account balances update, aur transaction logs maintain karne ke liye.

- Transaction Management Techniques:
Transaction sahi tarah se kaam karne ke liye DBMS concurrent access ko manage karne ke liye various techniques ka use karta hai, jaise ki Locking, Multiversion Concurrency Control (MVCC), aur Two-Phase Commit (2PC), jisse concurrency control aur data consistency guarantee hoti hai.
