Cache memory alag-alag levels mein hoti hai, jaise L1, L2, aur L3 cache. L1 cache CPU ke sabse paas hoti hai aur yeh ek small-sized cache hoti hai jo CPU ke saath ek hi chip par hoti hai. Iske alawa, L2 cache ek chhote cluster mein hoti hai aur CPU se thoda door hoti hai. L3 cache, jo sabse badi hoti hai, CPU aur RAM ke beech mein hoti hai. Cache Memory Kaam Kaise Karti Hai:
Jab CPU ek particular data ko prasess karta hai, toh woh data cache memory mein temporarily store ho jata hai. Agar CPU dobara wahi data ka upyog karta hai, toh cache memory se hi use prapt kar leta hai. Yeh process CPU ki processing speed ko badhane mein madad karta hai kyun ki cache memory ka access time RAM se kam hota hai. RAM mein data prapt karne ke liye adhik samay lagta hai kyun ki woh badi capacity wali hoti hai aur thoda door hoti hai.
Cache Memory Ke Labh:
- Teji: Cache memory CPU ke paas hoti hai, isse CPU ko data prapt karne mein kam samay lagta hai aur karyakshamata badhti hai.
- CPU aur RAM Ki Load Kam Hota Hai: Cache memory ke upyog se CPU ko data prapt karne ke liye RAM ki or jana nahi padta, jisse RAM ki load kam hoti hai aur yeh karyakshamata mein sudhar karta hai.
- Energy Saving: Cache memory se data teji se prapt hota hai, isse CPU ko kam samay tak active rehne ki avashyakata nahi hoti, jisse shakti bachti hai.
